What does an agent look like?

While Minister Kean tries to paint agents as “dodgy” for political popularity, the Australian Bureau of Statistics tells us the “typical” real estate professional is a woman in her thirties working full time. Her average yearly wage is $58,468.

She is part of the 37,703 property professionals employed in NSW who facilitate the $107 billion worth of residential sales each year that contributes $8.4 billion to NSW Government in stamp duty revenue.

Perpetuating the “least trusted profession” perception of property professionals is an  example of Government avoiding the actual issues affecting the industry. And it is at the expense of hard-working, community-minded business people and the consumer.
