Women in Real Estate Conference

Agents from across NSW gathered in Sydney for a day of professional development and personal motivation at REINSW’s 10th annual Women in Real Estate (WIRE) Conference.

Speakers Lucy Perry, Holly Ransom, Jackie Furey and Nardia Norman shared their tips on how to become a success at the Four Points by Sheraton.

REINSW Board Member’s Lyn Kimball, Leanne Pilkington, Kylie Walsh and former REINSW President Cristine Castle also provided real estate insights.
"I thought the mix of speakers this year was the best in the last 5 years I have attended - so clever, well done!"
- Di McCarthy | Ron Loiterton Real Estate

The theme of this year’s WIRE was ‘Own It’, which was created by Lyn Kimball.

She explained: “’Own It’ was one of five core values we developed in our workplace in 2013. It is the epitome of what we do every day when we go to work. It is also how we represent ourselves in life.
"I love this event. All my family and friends steer clear of me for about two weeks after I come back to my little rural town because I feel as though I could sell sand to the Arabs and ice to the Eskimos."
- Di Kelly | Kelly's Property Sales

“It is about owning the problem, solution and the outcome. It is not looking for excuses or someone to blame, but looking at how you can impact and fix the problem.

“If it goes wrong, then look at how you can work it out because too many look for someone else to take on the problem. If we all ‘Own It’ we won’t have half the problems out there in agencies and with clients, so ‘Own It’.”
“This was one of the best. It will be hard to top that”:
- Rhonda Finlayson | Bella Coastal Property Milton/Mollymook
